RMP's Facebook, Twitter accounts recovered after being hacked
The Royal Malaysia Polices official Facebook page and Twitter account were reinstated at 4.38pm Monday.
KUALA LUMPUR: The official Facebook page and Twitter account belonging to the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) have been recovered after it was hacked earlier Monday.

Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said, he was pleased with the recovery and thanked the force’s Social Media team for dealing with the cyber attack.
He had earlier confirmed both the force’s Facebook page and Twitter account had been hacked at 2.20pm today by an unknown party who went by the name #AnonGHost.

It is believed that the hackers had changed the RMP’s Facebook cover photo to that of the Islamic State militant group with the caption “Viva Islamic State”.

Its profile photo was also changed a minute after.
