THE BCDA GROUP
The BCDA Group is led by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), a government instrumentality vested with corporate powers under Republic Act (RA) 7227 (BasesConversion and Development Act of 1992), signed into law by former President Corazon C. Aquino last March 13, 1992. The BCDA Charter was amended by RA 7917 in 1995, and further amended by RA 9400 in 2007.
Since its creation in 1992 until end-2016, the BCDA has generated Php79.88 billion from the disposition of former Metro Manila camps.
Now on its 25th year, BCDA continues to embark on promising endeavors with the mission of pushing forward the country's economy.
MANDATE OF DEVELOPMENT
Mandated to transform former US military bases into alternative productive civilian use, BCDA has proven to be one of the most successful government agencies in attracting investments, creating jobs for the community and upholding proper stewardship and honest governance. This it does as it builds integrated developments, dynamic business centers and vibrant communities.
BCDA engages in public-private partnerships to push forward vital public infrastructure such as tollways, has successfully developed economic centers such as airports, seaports, and also major real estate developments.
Currently, BCDA is one of the drivers of the Build Build Build infrastructure program of the national government, which is deemed as the most ambitious infrastructure plan in Philippine
history. The program is envisioned to provide bold solutions to traffic, the need for jobs and the high prices.

The thrust of BCDA in expanding economic opportunities for Filipinos is echoed within the BCDA Group, composed of the Clark Development Corporation, the Poro Point Management Corporation, the John Hay Management Corporation, and the North Luzon Railways Corporation.
