Paper Owl Mask

Hello all,

I hope you are all well and preparations for Halloween are going well. Paperchase asked me to design a mask for Halloween. I have a thing for owls so it seemed only natural to make an owl mask.

All you need to make the mask is a printer, some ribbon and a selection of papers. I’ve tried two different colourways – do message me pictures if you make a mask and try a different selection of colours – I would love to see them.

Clay Owls

Check out these fantastic clay owls made by my wonderful class of 4 and 5 year olds. They shaped the clay with their hands and then used wooden embossing sticks to stamp in their own design. The eyes were created with a pop bottle lid.

My only regret was that we didn’t make holes in the top so we could hang them up. Next time…!

Melting paper snowman

Hello folks! I made this paper snowman last year and thought it would be funny to make a melting version (inspired by these biscuits!).

It’s been 3 or 4 years since we have had a good covering of snow in the South West of England so I have my fingers crossed for some this year!

I hope all your Christmas preps are going well.

+ Good quality A4 paper
+ Scissors
+ Ruler
+ Something pointy (to score your paper with)

HOW TO
– – – – – – –

1. Print out the snowman pdf. Make sure you set your printing preferences to ‘photo’ and ‘best photo’. Cut around the outside of the body, head and nose.

2. Take the head and score along the light grey lines using a ruler and pointy object (such as compass or needle). Fold along each of these lines. Glue together

3. Cut and fold the nose.

4. Glue the nose onto the head and the head onto the body.

Cheerio for now
