ABOUT US

Penang is simply synonymous with cultural and natural heritage, intense foodiness and tropical charm. A spirit of nostalgia roams the centuries-old buildings, faded photographs, antiquities and palates.

Together, they embody a legacy so stirring, it tugs at the heartstrings of even the most unacquainted meanderer. This same spirit of preservation and appreciation of the roots dwells within the kitchens, the boudoirs, fashion and architecture, bearing timeless values such as filial piety, divine respect for traditions and communal empathy.

Established in year 2007, Penang Passion, first debuted as the title of a cook book. It was the brain child of Tze, who led her creative team to celebrate the uniqueness of Penang food and colourful food tales in collaboration with Penang Chefs Association.

Having evolved over the years, it is now quintessentially a design and publishing firm with several titles under its belt. Penang Passion aims to capture and share the true spirit of Penang, an island permeated with tropical, nostalgic and whimsical charm. Not surprisingly it is easy to be inspired by the former Straits Settlement to create quirky works of art  and gift ideas such as journals, travel accessories, greeting cards and totes that win the hearts of our global community.
