Welcome to ASLG Skill Development, a consulting organization established in the Year 1996 with a brand name of ‘The Performance Plus”. At the beginning as a part of consulting involved in bringing substantial improvements in the business operations of several companies like Elb Schliff, GMM Pfaudler etc, some of them sponsored by ICICI. The interventions included design and implementation of Lean management and optimal planning and scheduling of operations..

In the last four years, responding to the severe shortages of skilled manpower in manufacturing industry,Performance Plus entered into employability training with sponsorship from Government of Andhra Pradesh; starting with training of 10th Class and 12th Class drop out rural youth for helper jobs in small and medium scale industries in Bala Nagar, Hyderabad.The experience gained was revealing suggesting a new approach to Skills Development and Vocational Training. The idea of the “Learn while You Earn Progarmme” (LwYEP)was developed and presented in the CII National Skill Development Conclave, 2009. This became the nucleus theme for the One Day Round Table on Skill Development organized by Amir Sultan in FAPCCI. The Round Table, involving Industry, NGOs addressing rural Youth, Vocational Training Institutes and Government Officials, was well attended. It endorsed Amir Sultan’s concept of the “Learn while You Earn Progarmme” (LwYEP) as a new connect between the blue collar workforce and modern industrial organizations. With support from a few MNCs and Organizations, ASLG SKILL DEVELOPMENT was formed in February 2010.

Back Ground

  • Every Manufacturing Company is facing acute shortage of manpower in its Shop-Floor and allied operations. This will only get worse.
  • If there are no skilled operators, of what use are the machines, executives, managers, computers and MIS?
  • When new operators / technicians are recruited, there are very few superiors available to instruct, train and guide the young people in their work. Uncared, they feel neglected and leave within 3 months

Our Mission

  • To create a good social value for tradesmen and artisans by developing their skill to international standards to assure their employability in well developed countries.
  • To provide relevant continuing education with special pedagogy to working tradesmen leading to advanced level certifications, measurable higher competency and career progression along with holistic and behavioral transformation.
  • To provide livelihood avenues for rural and tribal youth in the right technical vocations based on talent and aptitude testing and orient them for internship and jobs for sustainable careers in modern manufacturing plants, learning trades right first time and to international norms and standards.
  • To provide assured manpower services with productivity and quality contribution by our interns to our Industrial Customers.
  • To develop innovative tools and processes to ensure cost-effective delivery and large scale pan India coverage of disadvantaged youth. The tools and processes include assessment testing, behavioral transformation labs for integration of youth with modern work environment, continuing education models, training of trainers, facilitators, recruiters etc.

  • Impart ‘Learn while You Earn’ programme to trainees in every SEZ , Industrial Estate in India housing modern manufacturing plants and facility including ports, power plants etc.
  • Set-up state of art Centers of Excellence in CNC Manufacturing for Auto, Energy & Precision Sectors, Welding & Metallurgy, Logistics & Transportation, Construction & Building Services, Electronics & Instrumentation for Medical, Telecom and advanced Segments etc – at least one in every state and train technical trainers with innovative and appropriate methods.
  • Cover every Tribal Areas and least developed Clusters with our Manpower Capacity Building and Skill Development Programmes under the Public Private Partnership.
